Some high end shops, however there is not a very large selection. Security do a good job keeping the place clean and friendly, toilets are easily accessible, but Debenhams take up the largest part of Friars Walk where as 3-5 other shops could have potentially taken it's place.
First visit to this shopping center, was expecting a bigger venue and lots more shops. The all you can eat Tawa Indian, on the ground floor saved the day with a great 9.99 buffet.

Multiple choices of shops and restaurants. Moreover, the shopping centre is clean and tidy, with good atmosphere. Hopefully, more stores will open at Friars Walk. By the way, Friars walks lights look amazing at night. It truly stands out in Newport.I find with the shopping centre now, is the fact that there are still very old areas and run down areas around it. I think it all needs to be rectified and sorted. It would be lovely to see it all end up modernised.
Modern, spacious shopping centre, but smaller than I expected with a fairly limited range of shops. Inconsistent opening hours in the evening too, only half the shops were open after 5:30pm when I visited. Parking is convenient, and other city centre shops are just outside the shopping centre.
